EDITING BACHELOR OF FINE ARTS (B.F.A.)

The focus of this program is not on editing rules but on allowing students to reflect upon their individual editing styles and to develop new, experimental approaches. The Editing B.F.A. program of Film University Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF provides students with artistic and practical skills as well as with theoretical and systematic knowledge. The goal is to deal with editing methods without relying on cinematic conventions and to critically reflect upon them.

The B.F.A. degree program offers a reasonable balance between the independent exploration of artistic editing strategies and interdisciplinary teamwork. During the course of their studies, students learn how to independently work on artistic projects and develop teamwork skills.

Career Opportunities

The successful completion of the B.F.A. program allows students to work in the field of artistic editing for all types of moving image media. The primary goal is to enable graduates to work as editors – a profession that today offers various opportunities to employ dramatic, creative, technological, and artistic skills to develop an individual approach.
