Want to change the world? Creativity is the key skill to produce novel valuable ideas and persuade others into these ideas. This summer school 2-day course focuses on general creative thinking skills that can be used in your work, study and general life. It will introduce you to some surprising yet fundamental barriers to creative thinking. It will also provide you with a deeper understanding of your own personal creative skills using a psychometric production test for creativity. Finally, it will suggest ways to overcome the fundamental barriers to creativity and how to continuously develop your creative skills over time. The course will be a mix of lecturing, workshop, individual and team exercises as well as plenum discussion. The lectures and instructions will be in English. Your test and idea production can be performed in German.

About the speaker:

Christian Byrge is a researcher, inventor, educational designer and keynote speaker. He achieved his PhD degree for his research on creativity and has published several books and toolkits on how to teach creative thinking skills. These have been taught to more than 100.000 professionals from USA, Europe, Asia, Africa and Australia. He has also played a lead role in the design of digital gamified creativity training programs. Christian has been one of the lead educational designers for several creativity modules, courses and programs in both foundational, youth, ordinary, executive and continuous education. This includes the development of a new bachelor program on Creativity & Business Innovation, a master level program on Creative Genius as well as several youth and child creativity programs. He teaches in Aalborg (DK), in China and other countries about how to teach creativity, creativity training, assessment of creative potential, the role of persuasion as well as creative processes and techniques.
