One day, little Unrund wakes up from hibernation far too early and discovers that its parent animal has disappeared. Lonely and hungry, it sets out on a search and embarks on an adventurous journey through an icy world of snow. After braving wind and weather and crossing obstacles such as a frozen river, little Unrund finally seeks refuge in an abandoned cave. There, it encounters the Yeti. After the initial fright, both of them discover that they have a lot in common. The Yeti promises little Unrund to help him find its pack and so the unequal friends set off together. A little later they arrive at a wide field of fruits and finally manage to find the parent animal, which is in the process of gathering supplies for the pack. Little Unrund enthusiastically tells about its adventures and introduces its parent to its new friend. Reunited, the three make their way home, where the Yeti and little Unrund - exhausted but happy - finally fall asleep next to each other.
