Curriculum

The Cinematography B.F.A. program combines theoretical fundamentals with practical and creative exercises in the field of image composition. Artistic and theoretical courses allow students to focus on both cinematography and interdisciplinary work. The program provides insights into cinematography for both documentary and fiction films and gives students ample opportunity to put their knowledge into practice in exercises and projects. Format development workshops, lighting seminars, and in-depth exercises are offered as one-to-one courses and often involve interdisciplinary collaboration.

The program comprises the following modules: Creative / Media Theory, Technological Tools, Creative Cinematography I, Creative Cinematography II, Creative Cinematography III, Professional Practice, Electives, Interdisciplinary Non-fictional Film Project F1, Interdisciplinary Fictional Film Project F2, Artistic Graduation Project, Bachelor's Thesis.
