About the Network: Since 2020, the network «Animation and Contemporary Media Culture. Challenges and Potentials of Animation Studies in the Digital Era» establishes professional exchange between early career researchers and internationally renowned experts in the emerging field of animation studies. The network’s activities aim at systematically profiling and internationalizing animation research from German-speaking countries and promote strategic measures for the development of animation studies in the German-speaking world. The project is funded by DFG, Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (German Research Foundation), our working language is English.
