VYVYT Innovations GmbH

VYVYT Innovations GmbH is a pioneering company that offers digital concepts for the common experience of virtual mourning. With 3D spaces and software solutions, VYVYT enables the funeral industry to embrace the possibilities of the metaverse.

Project start:
2023

The team of VYVYT consists of Lilli Berger, a graduate of the Babelsberg Film University and a trained funeral director with expertise in film and digital communication. Alongside Lilli, Anton Kurt Krause, a theater director and visual developer specializing in augmented and virtual reality, brings the latest technologies to shape the discourse around entering digital spaces. Gregor Teggatz, a user interface architect, product owner, and photographer, adds his expertise in software development, branding, and user experience.

VYVYT's ERINNERUNGS | RAUM offers a virtual 3D space for farewell ceremonies and memorial sites. Accessible through web browsers, devices, or VR headsets, this platform facilitates digital funeral services and provides an immersive memorial experience where memories can be shared through various media formats or direct conversations.

VYVYT's journey began with the creation of farvel.space in 2020. The team received the Berlin Startup Scholarship in 2021 and the EXIST Startup Grant in 2022, providing valuable support for the development and realization of their concept. Their innovative approach gained significant media attention from prestigious publications such as Der Spiegel, TAZ, t3n Magazine, and radio and TV programs including rbb, Radio 1, Deutsche Welle, WDR, and SWR. Lilli Berger has also been a guest speaker at renowned conferences like re:publica and Mediatech Hub  Conference, further establishing VYVYT's presence in the industry.

In 2023, the team received support from the Gründungsservice, the point of contact for self-employment and entrepreneurship at the Film University, and secured funding from STARTBÜRO Babelsberg. Through this support, VYVYT was granted a coworking space at Studio Babelsberg and received funding of 10,000 euros to implement their innovative projects. Additionally, VYVYT was selected as a participating team at the Media Tech Hub Accelerator.
