Screenwriting / Dramaturgy

The Screenwriting / Dramaturgy B.A. program of Film University Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF provides students with training relevant to the professional practice of screenwriting and dramaturgy.

While theoretical knowledge about media history, media esthetics, and types of media forms the basis, the main focus of the program is on creative and practical work in the fields of story development, the creation of synopses and treatments, and screenwriting.

At the film university, students get the opportunity to develop stories in small-sized classes that allow for personalized instruction and to gain practical experience in the collaboration with other disciplines. Students are involved in numerous university film projects as screenwriters, co-writers, and dramatic advisors. Communicating and collaborating with other crafts, they become familiar with the entire process – from conceptual development to film production.
