The Gender Office at the Film University Babelsberg supports the establishment of sustainable structures and resources in the field of gender equality from a central perspective and strengthens equal opportunities in all areas of the university.
The office coordinates measures and offers for the enhancement of a gender-sensitive organizational culture and works closely with the head of the university and the gender equality officers.
The main responsibility is on planning and implementing the measures of the Programme for Women Professors III, focussing on the areas of enhancing gender-sensitive perspectives in teaching, studies and central units, the extension of gender-sensitive communication, gaining and retaining more women in areas where they are underepresented, as well as the introduction of career development measures and advanced learning opportunities for academic personnel.
Equal opportunities, awareness for gender- and diversity-sensitive communication, understanding and overcoming gender stereotypes as well as providing an inclusive and discrimination free environment are key concerns for the Film University, thus these concerns are taken into considerations in conceptualizing all measures and offers for all members of the university.
