Guest Auditors and Visiting Students
Studying at Film University Babelsberg Konrad Wolf requires taking an admission test. For this reason, the school's (theoretical) courses are open to only few guest auditors and visiting students.
Guest auditors: professionals (typically from the media industry) who would like to acquire background knowledge.
Visiting students: students enrolled at other universities.
Typically, applications for guest auditor or visiting student status can be submitted only at the beginning of the academic year (i.e. for the winter semester) and cover a maximum of 8 course hours per week. Prior to the summer semester, you may apply again for courses with a duration of only one semester. Please visit our website for information on summer semester courses.
Courses that are open to guest auditors and visiting students are announced in early September or, respectively, March. Most courses begin in the winter semester and continue in the summer semester. In these courses, applying for the summer semester is not possible. Application forms and information sheets are available online or from the respective department office. Please submit your application to the department's administrative office within the stipulated deadline. Late applications will not be considered!
If necessary, the respective department office will establish contact between the applicant and the course instructor as, in some cases, admission as guest auditor or visiting student requires a personal interview or the submission of work samples.
