Am Freitag, dem 14. November, fand der Auftakt der Veranstaltungsreihe „TENDENZEN“ an der Filmuniversität statt. Gemeinsam mit Gästen aus der Branche verfolgten Studierende, Alumni, Lehrende und Mitarbeitende die Vorträge und Diskussionen zum Semesterthema „POLITICS“. Den Einstieg bildete ein Mini-Symposium zum Thema „Neue Fördermodelle für erste und zweite Filme“ mit den Gästen Anja Dörken Lilla Puskas (Medienboard Berlin‑Brandenburg), Alexandra Krampe (PROG Producers of Germany), Sophie Ahrens (Produzentin / Schuldenberg Film) und Henning Beckhoff (Regisseur & Drehbuchautor, BVR). Die Moderation übernahm Virginia Martin (Transferstelle der Filmuniversität).
Ergänzt wurde das Panel durch ein Update zur neuen Talentförderung durch Alexandra Krampe sowie einen Impulsvortrag von Len Reddemann (Alumnus Film- & Fernsehproduktion Filmuniversität Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF).
Am Nachmittag folgte die zweite Session zum Thema „Non-fiktionale Filme: Made in Germany, Made for the Globe“ mit den Produzenten Gregor Streiber und Friedemann Hottenbacher von der Produktionsfirma Inselfilm und Host Susanne Binninger.
Die ursprünglich im Studiengang Filmproduktion verankerte Reihe wird aktuell von Anna de Paoli, Professorin für Filmproduktion, kuratiert und wurde im Wintersemester 2025/26 erstmals gemeinsam mit dem Studiengang Regie und der Transferstelle ausgerichtet. Studierende, Alumni, Lehrende und Mitarbeitende aller Bereiche sind jedes Semester herzlich willkommen! Anschließend bieten Networking-Apéros Gelegenheit zu weiterem Austausch.

The series of events „TENDENCIES – POLITICS“ kicked off!
The encounter-format series TENDENCIES kicked off the winter semester 2025/26 with a double feature on 14 November 2025. The focus was on the new talent film funding programme and non-fiction formats, within an overarching film policy theme.
On Friday, 14 November, the TENDENCIES event series opened at the Film University. Students, alumni, faculty and staff, together with guests from the industry attended lectures and discussions on the semester theme “POLITICS.” The programme began with a mini-symposium on “New funding models for first and second films,” featuring Anja Dörken and Lilla Puskas (Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg), Alexandra Krampe (PROG Producers of Germany), Sophie Ahrens (producer / Schuldenberg Film), and Henning Beckhoff (director & screenwriter, BVR). Virginia Martin (Transfer Office of the Film University) moderated the session.
The panel was complemented by an update on the new talent funding program by Alexandra Krampe, and an impulse talk by Len Reddemann, alumnus of Film & TV Production at the Film University.
In the afternoon, a second session followed on “Non-fiction films: Made in Germany, Made for the Globe”, featuring producers Gregor Streiber and Friedemann Hottenbacher from the production company Inselfilm, and host Susanne Binninger.
Originally anchored in the Film Production degree programme, the event series is currently curated by Anna de Paoli, Professor of Film Production. In the winter semester of 2025/26, it was held jointly for the first time with the Directing degree programme and the Transfer Office. Students, alumni, faculty and staff from all areas are warmly welcome every semester. Networking aperitifs afterwards provide an opportunity for further exchange.
