Dr Manuela Hackel studied German and Russian literature, philosophy and German as a foreign language in Potsdam and St Petersburg. She completed her doctorate in philosophy in Vienna with a thesis on Self-relationship and deficiency in Søren Kierkegaard and Jean-Paul Sartre. For her dissertation, she received a scholarship from the Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes (German Academic Scholarship Foundation) and a faculty award from the University of Vienna. Research stays in Copenhagen and Paris. International presentations and publications as well as teaching activities. Project and partner management, strategic planning, advisory services at universities and for associations in the areas of internationalisation, teaching, research & transfer, culture, education & sustainability. Currently, she is working as a project manager on the project ‘Film as a Catalyst of Social Transformation’.
