Project description:

The research project investigates the role of social art as a transdisciplinary tool to promote sustainability transformations, particularly in the context of the water crisis. The aim is to develop a theoretically grounded framework that evaluates the effectiveness of social-artistic interventions and demonstrates their contribution to socio-ecological transformation processes.

Research questions:

1. How can transdisciplinary art and science collaborations in the context of social art support sustainable developments?

2. Which specific artistic methods and media are particularly effective in visualizing complex issues such as the water crisis and making them emotionally tangible?

3. How can audiovisual media be used as tools to increase the reach and impact of social art projects?

Methodology:
The project combines qualitative case study analysis of current social art projects, especially in German-speaking countries, with participatory methods such as group discussions and expert interviews. Particular attention will be paid to the integration of audiovisual and digital media in order to investigate the impact and influence of these projects on social transformation processes. The results should provide impulses for innovative media and participation formats that can inspire social art in the areas of film and television.
