In Greek Mythology, Minotaur was depicted as a half bull half human creature imprisoned in a Labyrinth. The space where he was imprisoned and his relation to this space is defined by major mythological narrative. On the other hand, Luis Borges years later wrote a story from perspective of Minotaur. In this attempt, Borges let Minotaur reflect on how he experiences the labyrinth he lives in. With this intervention, the myth becomesan earthly experience of a person who is not really a prisoner at this Labyrinth (house). Besides, the house becomes a fluid experience of feelings, dreams and phantasies rather than a concrete prison.

Taking its root from the story of Borges, this project is an attempt to challenge major political, cultural and sociological narratives surrounds the childhood house in which the filmmaker was born.

To do that it is aimed to use essay form as methodological tool in the practical part of the thesis to investigate filmmaker’s childhood house from personal perspective. Thus, the film will be an attempt consists of essay fragments about the house of the filmmaker. These fragments will problematize major narratives surrounds the house and how personal (minor) experiences challenge these narratives.
