Digital Stage

For the "Digital Stage" project, acting and CTech students presented a digital theater experience on three evenings during the winter semester 20/21.

This year, the third-year acting students at the Film University were unable to present themselves in the usual way in a studio production in front of a physically present audience. Therefore, they developed a digital theater format in close collaboration with the Creative Technologies program.

Starting from themes such as disembodiment, idleness and being cut off from each other and the real world, they jointly searched for hybrid forms of analog play in virtual space.

The students invited the audience to a theatrical encounter in digital space. Using a computer, tablet, smartphone, or VR headset, the audience was able to move through a scenic installation in three-dimensional digital spaces, in which the students played live.
