The medium-sized company SIK-Holz from the district of Teltow-Fläming creates imaginative and natural play areas with their children's playground equipment and concepts, which promote movement, experiencing nature and social contacts. The investigation of opportunities for combining and expanding these real-life play and social spaces using media technologies such as virtual and augmented reality is the main objective of the transfer project funded as part of the ‘Brandenburg Innovationsgutschein (kleiner BIG transfer)’ funding program.

The aim of project leader Beate Hetényi and her team is to develop a prototypical digital extension of a physical SIK wooden play device and to derive insights into further application possibilities and potentials.
