MEDIAG

The project Narrating Change: Transmedia Storytelling as a Catalyst for Sustainable Transformation Processes in Agriculture (MEDIAG) explores how transmedia, participatory storytelling can act as a catalyst for sustainable transformation in agriculture. In collaboration with scientists and agricultural stakeholders, transmedia narrative formats are developed to foster mutual understanding and make constructive solutions to key challenges of climate change visible. The results will also be made accessible to a broader public.

Narrating Change (MEDIAG) is a transdisciplinary research project that explores transmedia storytelling as a tool to support sustainable transformation processes in agriculture. The project aims to bridge different perspectives, particularly those of agricultural practitioners and agricultural scientists, by collaboratively developing and producing media formats such as videos, podcasts, 360° content, and VR/AR experiences. Through workshops and training sessions, participants gain the skills to express their own positions and work together on constructive approaches to the challenges posed by climate change. Media production is seen not just as a means of communication, but as a process of education and mutual understanding with social relevance. The resulting insights and formats are intended to be transferable to other fields of science communication in the long term.
