The documentary SILENT COMRADE accompanies three soldiers that are trying to find a way back to life with the help of Equine Assisted Psychotherapy for PTSD. It takes an intimate look at the different characters and their individual experiences. It attends the therapy sessions as a silent observer and allows access to the special approach of therapist Claudia Swierczek. Being extraordinary open, the protagonists provide insight into the causes and consequences of their traumas. In interaction with the horses their wounds become observable and tangible.
