Prof. Carsten Woithe

Born in Cottbus in 1973, Carsten Woithe started teaching at Film University Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF as a visiting professor in 2014. In the winter semester of 2015/2016, he was appointed Professor of Digital Sets in the school's Set Design program. Focusing on set design for actual and virtual filmic spaces as well as the digital design of these spaces, his professorship involves interdisciplinary collaboration with the Animation and Cinematography programs.

Woithe holds a degree in Media Informatics and has been working as a digital set designer, art director, VFX/SFX supervisor, and pre-visualization artist since 2003. His extensive filmography includes numerous international film productions, such as "Mission Impossible III", "Cloud Atlas", "The Monuments Men", "The Hunger Games", and "Bridge of Spies", to name but a few.
