Arts-based/Practice-based Research
Arts-based/practice-based research emphasizes the intertwining of knowledge, aesthetic experience, and artistic practice. It understands the process of artistic creation as a process of exploration and cognition and film as a medium of thought and reflection. Due to the continuing difficulty of accessing third-party funding, this research approach is currently being implemented primarily in smaller projects funded by the university, including the IKF's Prize for Arts-based Research.
