CUNQuer stands for holistic, cooperative and practice-oriented curriculum development with the aim of strengthening transdisciplinarity at art schools. The project's approach is to rethink the structural and organisational framework conditions of teaching in the context of art education – not in isolation, but in close cooperation with all stakeholders: teachers, students, administrative staff and university management. We concentrate on the postgraduate phase (Master's, artistic qualification or PhD) and place a special focus on the development of learning opportunities beyond study programs.

In the course of the project, we are developing a theory-based, systematic process of curriculum development that also works in practice. In doing so, we take into account the areas of tension that exist at a creative university, such as between the role of artist or scientist and university lecturer, and use them constructively.

The Film University offers an ideal environment for this project because, as a film school, art college and university, it combines different practices, disciplines and courses of study. CUNQuer builds on this, develops specific curricular ideas and concepts, and thus contributes to the strategic goals of the Film University. We also strive to ensure that our results serve as a model and are also beneficial to other art schools.
